[ET Net News Agency, 15 December 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$108.24 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$15.97 billion, or 14.75% of the
market's turnover. There were 765 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and PING AN
(02318) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.2 billion and HK$1.16
billion, or 13.79% and 7.28% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 28.52% and 37.23% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$868.88 million and HK$695.52 million
of short sales, accounting for 5.44% and 4.36% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 16.99% and 9.46% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.22, or 0.84%, to HK$25.94. PING AN ended up HK$1.55, or
2.43%, to HK$65.3. HSCEI ETF fell HK$1.06, or 1.14% to HK$91.9. BABA-W declined by HK$4.2,
or 2.73%, to HK$149.9.
